Our Story

We Started BirdBox Because Coaching Standards Needed To Be Better

BirdBox Coaching wasn’t started because the industry needed more courses. It was started because coaching standards were inconsistent. Too many coaches were passionate, but lacked structure. Too many certifications taught information without teaching people how to coach.

Too many athletes were receiving advice based on opinion instead of observation, communication and evidence. We believed coaching education could be better. More practical. More honest. More applicable on Monday morning than impressive on social media.

Meet The Founder

Nathan Bird, founder of BirdBox Coaching

Nathan Bird founded BirdBox Coaching after two decades of sport and CrossFit® coaching and more than a decade of educating coaches. His background spans rehabilitation, sport psychology and strength and conditioning.
