01 Terms of sale Prices, transfers, refunds and cancellation. Agreed at checkout.

BirdBox Coaching Limited, a company registered in Ireland (company number 786123, VAT and OSS number IE4429982WH), trading as BirdBox Coaching, The Coaches Course, The Gymnastics Course, The Endurance Course and The Weightlifting Course — “we”, “us”.

1.1What you are buying

Your registration secures one place on the course, seminar or workshop named at checkout, for the named participant. Places are limited and are allocated in order of completed payment.

1.2Price and payment

Prices are shown at checkout in the currency of sale and include VAT where it applies. Where a deposit or payment plan is offered, the remaining balance is charged automatically to the payment method you provide, on the dates shown to you at checkout. If a scheduled payment fails we will contact you, and we may release your place if the balance is not settled.

1.3Transfers and cancellation by you

Because we commit to venues, travel and coaching staff well in advance, course fees are non-refundable. We will instead offer you, at our discretion:

  • a transfer to another date or location of the same course;
  • a credit against a future course, valid for 24 months; or
  • a transfer to the equivalent online course.

To request one of these, contact us at least 14 days before the course start date. Requests inside 14 days are considered but cannot be guaranteed.

You may transfer your place to another person at no charge up to 7 days before the course, provided they meet any prerequisites and complete their own health declaration and waiver.

1.4Discretionary refunds

In exceptional circumstances we may agree to a refund. Where we do, an administration fee of €75 is deducted to cover payment processing, platform and banking costs we cannot recover.

1.5Cancellation or changes by us

We may cancel or reschedule a course — for example because of insufficient registrations, venue failure, coach illness or events outside our control. If we cancel and cannot offer you a suitable alternative date, you will receive a full refund of the course fee.

We are not responsible for your travel, accommodation or other costs. We strongly recommend booking refundable travel or taking out travel insurance.

1.6Your right to cancel (consumers in the EU and UK)

For courses taking place on a specific date, the statutory 14-day cancellation right does not apply. This is the standard exemption for leisure and event services tied to a date.

For online courses, you have 14 days to cancel from purchase. By starting the course within that period you ask us to begin supply immediately and you acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel once you have accessed the content.

1.7Prerequisites

Some courses require you to have completed an earlier level. If you register without the prerequisite we will offer a transfer or credit, but we cannot admit you to the course.

1.8Conduct

We may refuse admission to, or remove from a course, anyone whose behaviour puts themselves or others at risk, or who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs. No refund or credit is due in that case.

1.9Contact

BirdBox Coaching Limited, 19 Baggot Street Lower, Dublin 2, D02 X658, Ireland · info@birdboxcoaching.com

I have read and agree to the terms of sale.

02 Assumption of risk and waiver of liability The risks of taking part, and what you accept. Affects your legal rights.

Agreeing to this is a condition of attending a BirdBox Coaching Limited course, seminar or workshop.

In this document, “we”, “us” and “BirdBox” mean BirdBox Coaching Limited, its directors, employees, coaches, contractors, volunteers and representatives. “The Course” means any seminar, workshop, course or related activity we run, and any venue at which it takes place.

2.1I understand the activity involves risk

The Course involves physical exercise, including gymnastics, weightlifting and other functional fitness movements, using equipment such as barbells, rings, bars, ropes and boxes.

I understand and accept that this carries a genuine risk of injury, including:

  • minor injuries such as bruises, strains, sprains and abrasions;
  • significant injuries such as fractures, dislocations, joint, back and muscular injuries, and concussion;
  • in rare cases, serious cardiovascular events, catastrophic injury or death;
  • injury to a foetus, if I am pregnant.

I understand that these risks cannot be eliminated, that not every risk can be listed, and that risk may arise from my own actions, the actions of other participants, the condition of the venue or equipment, or from a coach misjudging my ability, condition or a movement.

I understand that medical assistance may not be immediately available and that the venue may be some distance from medical facilities.

2.2I am responsible for judging my own fitness to take part

I confirm that:

  • I have considered whether I am physically and mentally fit to take part, and have sought medical advice where appropriate;
  • I have completed the health and participation declaration truthfully, and will tell the coaching staff about any change before the Course begins;
  • I will work within my own limits, follow instructions and safety guidance, and stop and tell a coach if something hurts or does not feel right;
  • I will inspect equipment before use and ask if I am unsure how to use it.

2.3I accept the risk

Knowing all of the above, I choose freely to take part, and I accept the risk of injury, loss or damage arising from my participation.

2.4Limits of our responsibility

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I agree not to bring a claim against BirdBox for injury, loss or damage arising from the ordinary risks of participation described above.

Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits our liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
  • anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Where you are dealing with us as a consumer, this agreement does not affect your statutory rights.

2.5Emergency treatment

If I am injured or become unwell during the Course, I consent to first aid or emergency medical treatment being given by qualified personnel, and to staff calling emergency services on my behalf if I cannot do so myself. I understand BirdBox is not obliged to provide medical care, and that I am responsible for the cost of any medical treatment or transport.

2.6My belongings

I am responsible for my own property at the venue. BirdBox is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings.

2.7Age

I confirm I am 18 or over. Participants under 18 may only attend with the written agreement of a parent or guardian, who must also accept this agreement on their behalf.

2.8Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your own country, or of your right to bring proceedings there.

2.9If part of this is unenforceable

If any part of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.

I have read and agree to the assumption of risk and waiver of liability.

03 Health and participation declaration Completed after purchase, before you attend. Seen only by your course coaches.

This is not a test and there are no wrong answers. Telling us about an injury or condition does not stop you taking part — it lets your coach give you appropriate alternatives on the day.

  1. Do you have any current injury, pain or physical limitation we should know about?
  2. Have you had surgery or a significant injury in the last 12 months?
  3. Do you have any medical condition that could be affected by strenuous exercise — for example a heart condition, high blood pressure, asthma, epilepsy, or a musculoskeletal, respiratory or circulatory condition?
  4. Are you currently pregnant, or have you given birth in the last 6 months? Yes / no / prefer not to say
  5. Is there anything else you would like your coach to know?
  6. Emergency contact — name, relationship and phone number. Required
  7. Do you carry medication we should know about in an emergency, such as an inhaler or adrenaline auto-injector?

How we handle this. This is health data. We collect it with your explicit consent, show it only to the coaches assigned to your course, use it solely to keep you safe during the Course, and delete it 12 months afterwards. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.

I confirm this information is accurate, and I will tell the coaching staff if anything changes before the Course.

04 Photography and media consentOptional Your answer has no effect on your place on the course.

We often photograph and film our courses for teaching materials, social media and marketing.

If you agree, you give BirdBox Coaching Limited permission to use photographs and video in which you appear, and any comments you give us about the course, in our marketing, social media, websites, teaching materials and course promotion.

  • You will not be paid for this.
  • We will not use your image in a way that is misleading or damaging to you.
  • We will not publish your full name alongside your image unless you agree separately.
  • You can withdraw this consent at any time by emailing info@birdboxcoaching.com. We will stop using your image in new material and remove it from our own channels where we can. We may not be able to recall material already printed or shared by others.

If you answer no, tell a coach at the start of the course so we can seat you away from filming and brief the media team.

Yes, I consent to BirdBox using photographs and video of me.   No, please do not photograph or film me.
